Here is the best networking tip that has ever been given to me and I wish to pass it on to you. Be a giver! That’s it to put it simply be a giver in everything you do. You want to be know in your networking circles as the giver the go to person of your particular specialty.
Being a giver and being known as giver has made the biggest impression upon the people that have turned out to be of the greatest help to me when it comes to getting things that I have needed. Because when you are known as the person that is always giving of themselves you will be surprised every time by the amount of people that will step up for you in your times of need.
Now when you apply this to networking for the purpose of business relationships the same concept and results will apply. It’s amazing to me how the more you give your advice or your time to someone especially on a business level relationship how when it comes time for you to ask for something in return that 9 times out 10 they are more than happy to help you out in return for you being such a giver.
Now I know that this may seem cheesy especially when you consider doing this on a professional level. Let’s put it this way then, are you at a level of success where you are satisfied financially? Do you believe that you have grown and pushed your business to the very top and there is just no better place than where you are now? Did not think so.
Ok now here is some really cheesy sentiments. What you put out there as a person comes back to you times ten in some way or another. That’s it of course isn’t it. The more you give the more you get is the way that goes. When you apply this perspective to anything you do you will find the end result to be almost unbelievable at times. People love to be around a person that gives of themselves either through their advice, time or efforts and by default they are usually more than willing to be of help or of service to you as well. That attitude alone can create a social or professional network of people that can bring your goals and dreams to a reality.
